About The Venice Area Pregnancy Care Center

Our goal is to help parents with children that are in need to provide safer, healthier, and happier lives for their children. We provide gently loved clothing from newborn to 5T and previously loved baby furniture, cribs, swings, high chairs, strollers, bassinets, and more, as available. We also offer baby food, cereal, and formula, along with two packages of diapers, per child, once every four weeks. Through grants provided by community organizations and local businesses, we are able to support parents.

Venice Area Pregnancy Care Center’s Annual Luncheon January 2024

The Venice Area Pregnancy Care Center presented their annual Cradle Award to John and Kathy Yaglenski on January 26th at their annual volunteer luncheon held at Pelican Pointe Golf and Country Club.

Traditionally, the Cradle Award recognizes individuals, groups or organizations that have been instrumental in assisting the Center in helping families with young children who live within the Venice and South Sarasota County areas by providing them with items they need for their children such as car seats, cribs, diapers, clothing, and food.

The Yaglenski’s are residents of Pelican Pointe and have been extremely active in the Pro-Life cause as well as the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Lourdes and CCW. They were recognized by VAPCC for their commitment, dedication, and support, both monetarily and with their time. Due to their initial interest in the Center as an all-volunteer organization, the Yaglenski’s were major proponents in spreading the word to other organizations with regards to what they accomplish. Greater community involvement has allowed the Center to greatly improve and provide more services to the families they help.
